we’re steph and david — founders of slow beginnings coffee. our journey began back in 2023, where we hosted our first friends + family pop up. now, we get the privilege to bring the specialty coffee experience to every event.
our coffee bar name reflects the intention of inviting slowness into our hustle-heavy culture;
to embrace the slow beginnings of your day admist noise.
we seek to bring together an authentic community that welcomes everyone as they are, whenever & wherever.
our approach is to let the coffee speak for itself, highlighting each bean’s unique flavor profile whether enjoyed black or paired with milk in a way that preserves its character.
every drink is made with intention and high quality ingredients. with the right effort, anything bitter can be mellowed out into a sweet moment.

behind the logo
We chose the Moon Rabbit (달토끼) from Korean folklore to represent our brand—a symbol of courage and generosity.
To us, it reflects the spirit of showing up for our community with heart, and sharing warmth through every cup.
